OpenTAK Integration

ATLAS integrates with the Team Awareness Kit (TAK) ecosystem for real-time team coordination.

TAK (Team Awareness Kit) is a situational awareness platform used by military, law enforcement, and emergency services. ATLAS can push your assessment data to a TAK server for team visibility.

  • ATAK (Android Team Awareness Kit)
  • WinTAK (Windows)
  • iTAK (iOS)
  • TAK Server (FreeTAKServer, OpenTAK, etc.)

You’ll need a TAK server configuration file (.zip) from your TAK server administrator. This typically contains:

  • Server connection details
  • SSL certificates (if required)
  • User credentials
  1. Go to Settings → TAK Server
  2. Tap Import Configuration
  3. Select your TAK server .zip file
  4. Enter any required credentials
  5. Tap Connect

Once connected, you’ll see:

  • Server status (online/offline)
  • Your callsign
  • Available groups and missions

ATLAS can export the following to your TAK server:

  • Cards — Captured access cards with location
  • POIs — Points of interest
  • Notes — Field notes with GPS coordinates
  • Situational Awareness — Cameras, ALPR, entry points, barriers
  1. Open a project
  2. Tap the TAK icon in the toolbar
  3. Select items to push
  4. Confirm upload

Data appears as markers on your team’s TAK map.

If you don’t have a TAK server, you can export to KML format:

  1. Open a project
  2. Tap Export → KML
  3. Share the file with your team

KML files can be imported into Google Earth, ATAK, or any GIS software.

Can’t connect to server?

  • Check your network connection
  • Verify the server is online
  • Ensure certificates haven’t expired
  • Try re-importing the configuration

Data not appearing on team map?

  • Confirm you’re in the same TAK group/mission
  • Check that items have GPS coordinates
  • Verify push completed successfully
