Getting Started
ATLAS is a standalone Android platform for physical security operations. No laptop required.
What You Need
Section titled “What You Need”- Android 12+ device (API 31+) — required for security
- ATLAS license (purchase at store.physicalexploit.com) with a free 3-day trial
Recommended Devices
Section titled “Recommended Devices”For best results with Proxmark3 Bluetooth connectivity, we recommend:
- Google Pixel devices running GrapheneOS or stock Android
- AOSP-based ROMs on Pixel hardware
Known Compatibility Issues
Section titled “Known Compatibility Issues”Proxmark3 Bluetooth Classic relies on RFCOMM/SPP, which is implemented differently across Android OEMs:
- Samsung devices: Modified Bluetooth stack may cause connectivity issues with the Proxmark3
- Other OEM ROMs (Xiaomi, OnePlus, etc.): Untested and may have similar issues
If you experience Bluetooth instability with your Proxmark3, consider using a Pixel device. WiFi-based hardware (Doppelganger Core, Stealth) works across all supported Android versions.
Why Android 12+
Section titled “Why Android 12+”We intentionally do not support end-of-life Android versions due to security risks:
- Android 11 and below no longer receive security patches from Google
- Older versions lack standardized Bluetooth permission APIs, increasing attack surface
- Running security-sensitive operational data on unsupported OS versions is an unacceptable risk
If your device cannot run Android 12+, we recommend upgrading to a supported device before using ATLAS for operations.
